Love helping people change their lives? Come do it every single day.
Medi-Weightloss® is a physician-supervised weight loss program built on five keys to wellness: nutrition, fitness, medicine, education, and motivation. Since 2005, our providers and coaches have helped tens of thousands of patients lose weight and keep it off — and our results speak for themselves.
We’re hiring a Nutrition Counselor for our Orlando clinic. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role for a true “people person” who lights up when someone hits a goal. You’ll see the same patients week after week, learn their stories, and be the person who keeps them going when the scale gets stubborn.
No medical background? That’s okay. If you have the heart and the work ethic, we’ll train you on medical assisting skills — vitals, injections, ECG, phlebotomy, and metabolic testing. If you’re already an MA, even better.
What you’ll do
Coach patients weekly in one-on-one consultations on nutrition, exercise, and behavior change — under the supervision of our physician and clinical team
Make outbound calls to patients every day — progress follow-ups, check-ins on missed appointments, reminders, and re-engagement calls. This is a core part of the job, not an occasional task.
Build real relationships that keep patients accountable, motivated, and coming back
Perform clinical support tasks — vitals, intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections, ECGs, blood draws, and metabolic testing (training provided)
Document every patient interaction accurately in our EMR
Support the provider work together to provide the highest level of patient care
Keep the clinic moving — help with front-desk coverage, scheduling, product and supplement sales, and clinic flow as needed
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
A genuine passion for helping people get healthy — this is the non-negotiable
Solid working knowledge of nutrition and exercise fundamentals, and the ability to explain them in plain language
Comfort and confidence on the phone — you’re not afraid to pick it up and call a patient
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic: back-to-back appointments, shifting priorities, multitasking without dropping the ball
Strong communication skills, warmth, and professionalism with every patient
Basic computer skills and comfort learning an EMR system
Dependability — patients count on you being there
Availability across our full schedule, including 6:00 AM arrival, two evenings a week until 7:00 PM, and Saturday mornings
Willingness to be cross-trained on medical assisting skills, including giving injections and drawing blood
High school diploma or equivalent
Willingness to complete a background check in accordance with applicable laws
Nice-to-haves (we’ll train the right person)
Medical Assistant experience or certification (CMA/RMA)
Phlebotomy experience
Experience administering IM/SQ injections
ECG experience
Certification or a degree in nutrition, dietetics, health coaching, exercise science, or a related field
Experience in weight loss, wellness, med spa, primary care, or fitness
Prior experience with patient outreach calls or sales
Why you’ll like working here
Starting pay of $18.00/hour, with room above that based on experience
Medical insurance
Paid time off
401(k)
Paid, hands-on clinical training — medical assisting skills you’ll keep for life
Two full days off every week, including every Sunday
A small, tight-knit team where you actually see the impact of your work
Job type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Medical insurance, paid time off, 401(k)

About Medi-Weightloss
Headquartered in Tampa, FL, Medi-Weightloss® is a physician supervised weight loss program with over 100 locations nationwide. Our founder, Edward Kaloust, began researching obesity in 2005 while on his own weight loss journey. He discovered that Americans spend billions annually on weight loss programs and products only to eventually regain most of the weight. It was then that Mr. Kaloust dedicated himself to ensuring that his program would not only help patients lose weight but also provide the support and education they need to keep it off.
Medi-Weightloss prides itself on its evidence-based approach to treatment through clinical research. As the industry leader in physician-supervised weight loss, we are committed to making advances in weight management and implementing these advances to develop new therapies, enhance clinical guidelines, and assist with clinical decision-making. Our patients have come to expect not only weight loss success but also quality medical care for their weight related health issues. For more information on the science of Medi-Weightloss, click HERE.
